Benefits of Hiring an Emergency Plumbing Service Agency

You may agree to the fact that having a plumber that you can contact anytime round the clock can help save efforts, time as well as money. This concept has recently picked up. In the past, none of the homeowners ever thought of having services such as emergency plumbing from an agency. During an emergency, every moment counts and in case of a water leak or an urgent plumbing job, you need someone to fix the issue instantly.

When you do require an emergency plumbing agency then one of the first questions that you may want to ask them is that if they have a proper license to undertake the job as per the governing state and/or city. As a matter of fact, not all cities require a license however in case your city does, then it makes sense to ask. In order to obtain a license the plumber needs to pass a test to demonstrate his skills. While asking the agency, do not get confused between a business license and a plumbing license. There is a huge difference between both. While a business license indicates that they have the right to run their business in the designated state however it does not necessarily mean that they are skilled in plumbing and/or have gone through some kind of evaluation.

The next item that you may want to consider is insurance. When you do hire a plumber do ensure that they have adequate compensation for the worker and suitable insurance for any damage that they may do. While the worker’s compensation pays off for any injury the plumber may incur, the insurance would cover for any damage they may do to any of your items at home. The liability insurance would help to pay any repair work and/or damages that may happen due to unforeseen circumstances or due to the clumsiness of the plumber. If in case the plumber does not carry insurance then you are liable to pay for the damage that may occur.

You may have noticed but plumbers without insurance are often cheap and that is because they do not pay the hefty premium for the insurance policy. It is up to you whom you wish to choose.

Yet another factor based on which you may wish to choose an emergency plumber is the response time. Do ask your plumber the turnaround time in which they can fix the issue. Despite the plumbing agency offering 24 hours service it does not guarantee that they would turn up on time. If they are located miles away or are overburdened with service calls then no way on earth would they be able to make it to your place within time. However, in case of an emergency you need to ensure that they can reach you on time or otherwise they can refer you to someone who can definitely make it to your home.

One more deciding factor based on which you may want to hire a plumber is the hourly rate. Do check for an estimate over the phone before you call them. Although, most plumbers may refuse to give a quote over the phone without seeing the issue but you can always ask for a ballpark figure based on their experience. After all you do not want to overpay. Some emergency plumbers also tend to add a service charge to the bill so do check before you call them up. Finally, do ask what form of payment they can accept and which not. You may not have enough cash at home so it would be best if you can ask the plumber to accept a credit card.

Last but may be not the least do ask for warranty. Since you are paying for the repair work, you may want to ensure that the job they do is of quality and has some warranty.

Handyman- The three R's

Remodeling, renovating, and repairing are the three main projects done by the handyman. For a lot of you who don’t know what a handyman does and what kind of services they provide, a handy does all the things that need to be done when renovating or remodeling a part of your house. While it sounds obvious, a handyman is really handy when it comes to repairing water pipes, bath showers, tile installation or any kind of work that demands a certain degree of work ethic. It is an all in one service provider for your home available anytime at your convenience.

Remodeling the floors of the living room to remodeling the design of your kitchen, renovating a part of your house to make it better and prettier, and repairing any kind of breakage in your house system are the services provided to you by professionals in the handyman service. It is always vital to hire a handyman rather than repair any kind of things in your house by yourself. Albeit you know your house and are comfortable in working alone to fix any problem, a slight incident may sometimes result in a major disaster for you or your family. With the quality of work promised to you and the warranties provided with it, it is better to hire a handyman than volunteering to work on things yourself.
You may ask by now that what can go wrong with just the small kitchen you want to remodel. Maybe you’ve done it before and you pride yourself in completing the task single-handedly, but it is also possible that you would have made mistakes during the remodeling or repair processes and wouldn’t have noticed it.

Let us look at the common mistakes people make while completing the three R task on their own. Let us take an example of a kitchen and what mistakes people make during the procedure.

  • Lack of planning is the main mistake that homeowners make while renovating their kitchen. They may start working beforehand because of not willing to make a plan of how they are going to remodel their kitchen and what is most suitable for it. You can’t look for a solution on the way, you have to find the exact solution and then work. Though it is time consuming and feels like a waste of time, a proper planning will ensure you don’t overestimate the capacity of things your kitchen can hold.
  • When you have a plan for a kitchen remodeling, stick to a particular budget instead of going on a spree to purchase the best over-the –top instruments for your kitchen. It grossly diminishes the possibility for a future remodeling of any other part of your house. Stick to a budget.
  • If you have planned something already and you are now thinking of changing the plan as you work, it only means that you did not think clearly while making the previous plan. Sticking to your plan is an important aspect of renovating any part of your house.
  • Improper lighting and no ventilation in the kitchen will be the cause of more heat to form inside the house and a horrible lighting cast on the kitchen design.

Lastly, remember the first point we made about hiring professionals to do a better job. If you want an impeccable design for your kitchen or bathroom to your liking and want a neat job done on the house with a guarantee of long lifespan, it is recommended to hire a handyman to make your house strong and beautiful at the same time.

Roof repairing can be an expensive proposition and it is essential that the quality of repair should to be looked into. The repair procedure may take time however it is essential that the job is carried out in a professional manner so that the roof lasts for years and can take up any impact. For you to be able to hire a professional agency that can offer quality roof repair services here is a handy guideline that you may want to go through:

a) Do your homework
It is always best to do your homework before you hire a roof repair company and initiate the repair process. Ask for referrals and/or look for a trustworthy agency over the internet. Also, glance through a few testimonials for roof repair phoenix services. In is only through proper channels would you be able to shortlist a good agency.

b) Ask the people around you
One of the best ways of finding a roof repair agency is to ask the people around you. Who knows… someone or another may have recently got his/her roof repaired and found the job satisfactory and compelling too. You can ask for the price that the person may have paid and the quality of job as well as professional attitude the agency may have exhibited.

c) Do your best and try not to change the existing roofing material
If you have been using a certain material for your roof for ages and find that satisfactory then why go for a change unless it is better and more cost effective. Also, do figure out your budgets and then finalize the material lest you may have to stretch your budget and end up with an issue.

d) Acquire a list of useful roof material
In case you are not satisfied with the existing material used to make your roof and want to go and try another material then see if you can get a list of materials from the agency you wish to hire. Also, ask for the rate list for each material type and then figure out the final costing. This way you would get a brief idea of the final proposal and see if it meets you requirement.

e) Acquire a photo or description of the material sample
These days roofing is being done by using a variety of material types. Ask for a sample for the one that you wish to go for and see how durable and cost effective it may be.

f) Water leakages
Water leakage these days is a prime issue with most roofs. Do check if the material that the agency has opted to use after your consensus can protect the house from heavy rains.
g) Additional costs and time
It is always best to be prepared for additional costs and estimates. Although the contractor may have signed off a specific cost but you never know what may crop up. Even the time to get the roofing done may take more time than what was initially suggested. Be prepared for that as well.

h) Be prepared by putting everything in black and white
It is always best practice to maintain documents and records of your decision and what all steps you went through while finalizing a roof repair Phoenix agency. Over time, if ever you require roof repair services again you can always refer to those notes and save on both time and efforts. Further, you can even share a copy of those notes with those in need of roof repair services and also help them save on time and efforts.

i) Don’t take too much of hassles
It is always nice to play it easy and not to take too much of stress and hassles. At times, you may later discover that you had missed out on certain aspects and in such situations do not lose hope. Although you may feel like pulling out your hair but tacking the situation in a more relaxed and composed manner would help you considerably. It is always best to hide your emotions and smile no matter how challenging the situation may be. Always try to review the situation and take corrective actions to rectify the mistake. Do not lose hope and sooner or later your roof repair job would be over with and you can sit and relax.

Conclusion

Although you may have hired one of the best roof repair Phoenix agencies in the city, but there may be times where you discover that something or the other gets missed out during construction work. Try to prepare your checklist of items and run the item through the agency. Further, try to make the process easy going and do not take too much of stress.

The Practical Advantages of Buying Bedroom Furniture Sets

Bedroom furniture sets give any room they are placed in a neater, more coordinated look, because the individual pieces are uniform in finish and style. Aside from this, purchasing a set instead of separate, individual pieces also has other benefits.

At the minimum, bedroom sets include a bed frame and two other kinds of furniture, typically two end tables and or a vanity table with mirror. Larger sets may come with all of these as well as a chest of drawers or an armoire.

Buying furniture sets means a one-time expense that gets you several pieces of furniture, and paying in installments over a few months makes it easier on your wallet. You also only have to pay for a one-time delivery and installation fees, instead of having to pay for individual items to be brought in. Furthermore, you can decide whether to have the entire set in your bedroom, or use the pieces elsewhere in your home.

In the long run, buying furniture sets lets you save time and money, making it a practical choice for any homeowner.

Giving Your Living Room the Makeover It Deserves

Whenever someone visits your house, the very first room he sees on the other side of your main door is the living room. And because first impressions are important, whatever he sees in that room can already speak volumes about the people living in the house. This is why if you want to make a good lasting impression on your guests, make sure your living room looks welcoming and is a pleasurable area to stay in.

If you think your room is just but a dull shadow of its once splendid past, why not give it a little makeover? You don’t have to spend a fortune to give it a fresh look. Follow these simple tips and you’ll be on your way to giving that space for entertaining your guests the facelift it deserves:
Repaint – The first order of business when giving any space a new look is usually by giving its walls (and even ceilings) a fresh coat of paint. If your living room looks too dark and unwelcoming, you can choose a color that will immediately transform that all-important space from gloomy to glam. Light colors always give that feeling of expanded space and air of freshness, so you want to choose these colors when redecorating.

Re-arrange – Sometimes you don’t even have to buy new pieces of furniture when refurbishing your living room. A little re-arranging here and there can already do wonders in giving that space for guests a new look. You may also want to take some pieces that don’t belong there and just make the room look unsightly. For example, if the center table is too big for the room, replace it with something smaller so there’s more walking space in it (check out small tables for sale here). Especially if you have a small living room, you need to unclutter it and give it more breathing space by removing unnecessary furniture.

Restore – A room can look very unattractive because of certain pieces or parts needing restoration. It can be a broken leg of a chair to a crack in the ceiling. All these little things, when viewed together, can render your room ugly. If you don’t trust your carpentry skills, you can enlist the help of someone in the house who’s good with his hammer and saw to repair and restore those that can still be salvaged so you don’t have to spend money in replacing them.

Re-invent – Redecorating your living room means letting your creative juices flow freely. It’s about giving the space a look that doesn’t just please, but also inspires and delights. Whenever a space is re-invented, the people using it somehow also change their overall perspective on life in a positive way. Give your living room the makeover it merits and you and your guests will surely benefit from it.

Granite Benchtop - Making the ultimate statement in kitchen design!

Kitchen is the heart of your home. Home owners desire granite Benchtops for supreme comfort, minimum maintenance and godly feeling of the natural stone. As observed, when a person from your friend or family enters the kitchen the first thing they notice is your beautiful and shining kitchen Benchtops. After its where majority of time is spent with families gathering, preparing tasty food and most of all entertaining life.

Granite Benchtops is preferred due to its high-price feature. It is perceived that despite presence similar in color, shape and size, some granite Benchtops are higher than others. Handling of natural stone is completed in various ways and stones which are crafted first are cheaper than those which come with more efforts. Then the price of the stone is dependent upon the amount of labor introduced in quarrying natural stone.

To save big amounts of money when renovating kitchens, you have the option of resurfacing your granite counter top. Instead of building a new granite bench top, you can simply remove the old counter top surface and have a brand new counter top. This option is considered to save you upto 70% in cost compared to getting a complete new granite benchtop.

Granite is preferred for its looks, maintained year after year with little efforts. Its usability is class apart. One can cut any amount of vegetables on the Benchtops and it will not show any mark. There is no problem in keeping containers with hot liquids on the stone as there will be no marks out of hot or cold surface. Besides, granite can be cleaned with a clean cloth regularly and the kitchen Benchtops will look as beautiful as installed on its first day.

Imitated granite is available in the market, but these are not successful as they begin to show wear and tear and show burn marks on them within no time. These are eventually replaced for their diminished looks, overtime. These Benchtops pose a problem for home owners who are deprived of looks and usability by installing imitated granite. Professionals are called time and again to sand and re-polish worktop, time and again.

Professional granite merchants have an expertise in assisting customers to buy the right material as per their budget and preferences. Customers are at ease to furnish granite kitchens with proper Benchtops, flooring and wall-cladding. Granite merchants are more than eager to advise customers with proper material, design and technical assistance.

Some people prefer marble over granite as they find marble more attractive. However, marble deteriorates after some time. In kitchens, it shows food-marks and in bathrooms, it shows water-marks, diminishing the effect of natural stone. Granite, on the contrary, shines as bright as during installation even after decades of installation. There is a large collection of granite Benchtops to choose from. Customers have the facility to avail first-hand designer services for granite for kitchen Benchtops. Tips to Improve Your Outdoor Kitchen Design

Summer is just around the corner and, among other things, is the season for barbecues—the sweet smells of meat sizzling, the tinkling of refreshing beverages, and the cheerful conversations of people learning new things about each other. An outdoor kitchen is one of the best ways to host a barbecue, keeping you in the middle of the action at all times. Whether you have only recently enlisted the help of outdoor kitchen remodelers or are already a veteran outdoor cook, here are some tips to help you plan or improve your outdoor kitchen for the coming summer.
  •  Practice basic kitchen design principles throughout your outdoor kitchen. All areas of the kitchen—from the cold fridge to the hot grill to the dry counters to the wet sinks—should work in conjunction and allow for an easy flow from one to the other. You should have plenty of space to work at each station comfortably.
  • The most prominent difference between your outdoor and indoor kitchens is exposure to nature’s elements. Consider the durability of each element of your outdoor kitchen, from countertops to sinks, as well as the shelter that your outdoor kitchen provides itself and potential guests.
  • Remember that you may only be using your outdoor kitchen three months out of the year, giving the area nine months to collect dust and take a beating. The easier it is to clean, the more you’ll use it. As a general rule, use low-maintenance materials and equipment that can stand up to inclement weather. Stainless steel is easy to maintain and resistant to corrosion. Counters should be resistant to heat and grease stains. Avoid tile countertops if you live in any icy climates; they will not be able to withstand the constant freezing and thawing.
  • As any home remodeling expert will tell you, matching parts of your home with the overall home design is an important but difficult part of any remodel. Complement your existing home design and the surrounding landscape. A fireplace makes for a good anchor and focal point that works with many styles.
  • You can extend barbecue season with some heaters and some simple shelter and shade. Set up awnings, pergolas, and trees over dining areas. Portable propane patio heaters, used in conjunction with an overhang, are an effective and affordable option for staying warm at night or when the weather gets chilly.
  • Provide plenty of task lighting so you can keep that barbecue party going well into the night.
Barbecues are fun for everyone, and a great outdoor kitchen can keep the fun times going all year long.

Types of Heavy Duty Ladders Used in Retail Outlets

In the USA and the UK, ladders are classified according to their expected use. Heavy duty ladders are used for several different purposes in commercial establishments, particularly retail stores. Commercial ladders are built to be far more durable than other types of ladders because they are used more often and experience a lot of abuse.

Platform ladders are typically seen in storerooms to allow workers to reach heavy loads located on high shelves. They have stable bases, allowing heavy objects to be lifted down without any fear of overbalancing or tipping over. This prevents accidents that may have been caused by unsteady ladders.

Rolling work stands are commonly used within the shop proper, allowing store clerks quick access to items placed on higher shelves. Because they are on wheels, they can be moved to wherever they are necessary, providing access to hard to reach areas. Some stores also feature floor-to-ceiling stands permanently affixed to a rail, which is useful for maximizing the use of limited retail space.

Budget-Friendly Investments That Pay in the Long Run - Kitchen Remodel

Congratulations! You are the proud owner of a new home and can now add a plethora of trades to your skill set  including carpentry, plumbing and painting. You probably aren’t a jack of all trades yet but as a home owner, you know that increasing the value of your home simply by improving the look and feel of old and outdated rooms can significantly increase the homes resale value—especially when you devise a plan to update the kitchen.

According The National Kitchen and Bath Association, the average cost of a kitchen renovation is $26,000.
If you have recently purchased a home or have been saving for those much-needed kitchen renovations—you’re in luck! Here are a few simple tips and tricks to stay below budget when updating your kitchen while slowly but surely increasing the value, look and feel of your new and improved space.

How to Remodel a Kitchen on a Budget:
The most important step when preparing for any home improvement task is making a list of renovation priorities. If you have a fully functioning, out-of-date kitchen that needs a little TLC, appliances may be at the bottom of your list while updating the cabinets and adding the granite countertops you have always dreamed of will be a top-priority.

Update the Cabinets: Not all wood-work is timeless. In fact, particle board cabinets and greasy cabinet doors can deter the beauty of your kitchen, making it appear dirty and outdated.

  • Resurfacing your cabinets is a great DIY task and can save you a lot of extra money although cabinet resurfacing can be done professionally as well.
  • Painting wooden cabinets to make the space appear brighter and more up-to-date can take a 60’s or 70’s style cabinet and make it look new.

Granite Countertop Installation: Granite countertops are a great way to increase the value of your home. It is generally more expensive than other countertop options but granite is one item that significantly holds its value. Here are a few things to keep in mind before installing granite countertops.
  • Find a granite countertop installation specialist who is willing to install the countertops at a respectable rate. This is one project that is better done in the hands of a seasoned professional.
  • Choose a timeless color that will match most paint colors and cabinet finishes. Make sure the stone color is not too personalized; it will make it harder to appease the next homebuyer.

It’s all about the Detail:
  • Paint is not permanent and can be changed as many times as you feel necessary. Avoid wallpaper which can deter homebuyers due to the sheer difficulty of removal.
  • Lighting the space with beautiful fixtures will add a touch of class and elegance to any updated space.
  • Add crown molding for a creative and unique way to update the look of your dream kitchen. Because of its hefty price tag, creating crown molding on your own might take a bit longer but the final product will be much less expensive and just as beautiful. Look into renting tools such as a miter saw if you are interested in taking on this task.

A Guide To Home Extensions

Many home owners have set their hearts on adding to the value and appeal of their house with a well-placed extension. Despite this, the process appears to have been made more difficult at every turn by forcing prospective renovations through the gauntlet that is planning permission. The rules seem unnecessarily complex to some, but in an attempt to boost economic growth, the government has reduced the vast sea of red tape associated with planning an extension on a home or small business in England, thus giving home owners a much greater motivation to extend for the duration of this three year initiative.

Any extension of less than 8m for a detached home will no longer require planning permission; great news for anyone wishing to expand a room or add a conservatory to their home or business. Extensions can be a fantastic way to boost the value of your property, with conservatories adding around 7% to the total value of a house, and full extensions adding up to 11%. Extensions increase the appeal of your property to prospective buyers by expanding the usable space and adding extra functional rooms to the property. But which type of extension do you choose? With the availability of loft conversions, conservatory additions, room extensions, or even the addition of modular buildings to the property, it is difficult to know the best way to add value to your home. The list below will provide some idea of the pros and cons of each type of extension, allowing you to decide on the best solution for you.

  • Loft Conversion - loft conversions offer the unique opportunity to cash in on the natural light of the skyline, or indeed the romantic glow of the cityscape itself. Loft conversions can unlock the tremendous amount of space available to you above the ceiling of your home, but can become expensive if the house is older or has been constructed in a way which is unfriendly to loft extensions.
  • Conservatory - a conservatory is a great way to facilitate relaxation in a room flooded with natural light, while still keeping the elements at bay. Conservatories can increase the value of your property quite dramatically, so the gain often more than makes up for the initial expenditure, although you should be prepared to invest a significant sum of money to get a good quality conservatory attached to your home.
  • Room Extension - Room extensions are a great way to sequester some of a large garden to form an enhanced living space, but some find that they extensions of this type make smaller gardens feel claustrophobic. To combat this problem, many home owners have installed French doors to create an open-plan feel to the home and garden and banish the feeling of constriction.
  • Modular Extension - if a permanent extension does not suit, adding a modular extension separate to the main house is a particularity good way to merge the garden with a multi-purpose function room.

With the explanations provided above, any interested home owner should have all the tools required to make the most of the temporary leniency in planning laws. If you've been considering a major renovation or extension, now is the perfect time to act!

Form and Function: Injecting Style into your Home Improvements

If you're planning on doing some home improvements, read on for a guide to putting some style into your work.

When it comes to home improvements, you should always take some time to consider the balance between form and function. Let me give you an example. Did you know that Thomas Chippendale came from a family of joiners and furniture makers in Yorkshire? The most famous British furniture maker in history learned his trade hewing out rustic, provincial pieces of home-wear designed to do a solid job in unfussy homes in the north of England.

Those early pieces would have been simple and sturdy; extremely well built and eminently fit for purpose but lacking in flair and style. Young Thomas had a dream though, and when he moved to the big city of London he began to make furniture that was not only sturdy and well made, but exquisitely designed.

Chippendale swung from one extreme to the other, proving that the most functional items in the home can come in the most beautiful forms. The 18th century master craftsman elevated the everyday to exceptional art.

At a very basic level your home fulfils an everyday function but if you're planning on doing some improvements to your property, why not take the time to think about the ways in which you can raise the aesthetic value of the work you are doing? You may not reach the giddy heights that Chippendale did but by picking a style that you like and infusing your work with it you can turn your house into something truly special.

Finding your style
The way you decorate your house should reflect your personality so take a little time to think about whom you are and what you'd like your home to say. A sprinkling of personally important photographs and mementos can make a big difference to the feel of a property but you can go beyond that to put your stamp on a place in a more telling way.
Think about the things you are passionate about and see if you can't integrate them into the décor. Is there a holiday destination that you love? A region of the world that you are particularly fond of? It could be some far flung destination, or something as local as the English countryside, but wherever it is you can borrow elements of its traditional style and use them to infuse your home improvements with something important to you.

Make a statement
In every room you should have one or two items that you can build the rest of the space around. These should be functionally important pieces of furniture that have a lot of style. For example, in your bedroom you may wish to build your room around your bed or a wardrobe. In your living room your sofa and seats might be the key object.

When you've selected this key object try to find the most stylish item that you can realistically afford. Your budget might not stretch to grandstand items but if you get creative and scour antiques shops and online sales you might be surprised at the items that are within your grasp. Don't be afraid to spend a little extra for quality.

High-quality, stylish furniture is an investment for the future. If you do decide to go old and buy an antique you will have an asset that you will be able to recoup money on somewhere down the line. Just remember that if you're upping the value of your furnishings, make sure you have comprehensive contents insurance to protect your investment.

 Out with the old
One of the simplest and most common home improvements that people make, especially around this popular, spring-clean time of year, is the big de-clutter. It's easy to become sentimentally attached to the things you own but take a step back and you'll see that many of these clutter some items are just that. Get rid of them!

That's not to say that you should mercilessly cull all your old mementos. As I said before, a sprinkling of such items is important in establishing your personality and style. Excess is the thing you need to avoid here so try to push sentimentalism to one side and think about style.

A fitting home
A lot of people suggest that when you make home improvements you should keep your changes neutral and low key. There's something to be said for that if your improvements are designed to boost the value of the property before selling it on. However, even in these situations, you should still have style in mind. Don't sell yourself or potential buyers short – everyone has the imagination and taste to appreciate the finer things in life. Ask Thomas Chippendale!

How will you put a stylish stamp on your home improvements?

How to Improve Your Home on a Budget

Many people think that home improvement has got to cost an arm and a leg, but it is actually very possible to give your home a face lift on a budget. Follow this advice and make your living space look fabulous without breaking the bank.

Change the living area

Give the walls a makeover by slapping on a new layer of color. Painting the walls a different color can really change the whole feel of a room.

Access what you already have in your home. Sometimes less really is more! If you do not need certain items, then you should sell them on eBay and use the cash towards something new to liven up the room.

The lighting that you choose for a room can change the ambiance of the area. If you have lamp shades that do not match or are old, then get some fresh new ones. You can even make your own, if you are the creative type.

Getting new cushions is a great way to give new life to a space when you do not have the cash to buy new sofas or couches. Choose colors that complement the furniture that you already have, or be bold and go for something bright and totally different.

Bedroom make overs

Have your old headboard re-covered with a bold new color, or try to do it by yourself if you have the time. Use the left over material to create original pieces of art and frame them to hang on the walls.

Go down to the local store and find some great matching bed linen, fluffy new pillows and curtains to match your beautiful new headboard and home-made works of art.

Create art

Having wonderful pieces of art hanging on your walls is a great way to liven up a room and it will bring out your individuality.

You can use a number of cheap items to create wonderful works of art. Party invitations, menus, your favorite pictures, postcards and many other items can be placed on a board and put into a lovely frame to hang on your walls.

Give old frames a new lease on life with a splash of color and some clear varnish. Try to make sure that the art and the frames colors complement each other.

Well, there you have it! Home improvement does not have to cost the earth. These are just a few examples to get you going. Be creative and make your space your own on a shoestring budget.
